The aim of the competition law course is to introduce students to French and European competition law, through the rules aimed at protecting the free play of competition (merger control, anti-competitive practices (cartels and abuse of dominant position)) and those aimed at protecting competitors (protection against unfair competition, transparency rules, unfair commercial practices between companies and in particular practices restricting competition).

Anne-Claire Rouaud is a member of the Law Faculty and Professor of Private Law at the University of Paris 1. She specialises in business law and her research focuses particularly on banking and financial law. Co-author of a book on financial law, she writes a column on this subject in the review Banque & droit and directs the Banking Regulation column of the International Financial Services Review.
